SCFF meeting 7:10 pm 25th February '05

The 'Tollgate'


PRESENT:

Terry Hughes, Bryan Shaw, John Slaney, Adam Allcock, Martin Eagles, Andy Harrison, Rob Stanway, Shaun Flynn, Chris Morgan

APOLOGIES:

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved, matters arising were included were considered to be included in the agenda.

WEBSITE UPDATES:

Terry informed those present that the Radio Stoke web site was still being prepared

MISSION STATEMENT:

Terry suggested that the Mission Statement of the Fans Forum should be reviewed, and it was agreed that a working party of Forum representatives should be set up. Volunteer’s names taken at the meeting were Malcolm Clarke, Rob Stanway and Terry Hughes

FUND RAISING RAFFLES:

It was agreed that Shaun Flynn as the Treasurer should liase with Bryan Shaw to organise raffles to coincide with the Official Stoke Supporters Club Programmes initiative held at regular intervals before home matches in Delilahs bar, to raise money for the Forum to assist the Forums running costs. Possible donations of prizes from supporter groups would be most welcome, and Stoke City will be asked to make some contributions.

SUPPORTER GROUPS:

Terry suggested that details of all the registered Stoke City supporter groups should be obtained, with a view to inviting them to appoint a representative to join the Forum, or alternatively, nominating a contact name and their details, so that Fans Forum updates and meeting minutes can be forwarded onto them, for their group members information.
Details of registered groups should be available from the Club.

FANS FORUM NEWSLETTERS

It was agreed that the Forum should try and produce four newsletters per year to keep supporters updated on Fans Forum business and activities. The newsletters and minutes of each meeting shall also be displayed on the notice boards in the Britannia concourses. Andy Harrison suggested that the Potters Trust may well be able to assist with printing costs.
Rob Stanway volunteered to design the lay out for the newsletter.

AWAY SUPPORTERS CARD SCHEME:

It was suggested that the Away Travel Card scheme should be monitored, with particular reference to the introduction of the guest ticket. Terry agreed to contact the Club to get a full copy of the scheme changes.
The members felt that the scheme in its new format should be an agenda item for the Forums full meeting with the Club in the close season.

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT:

This issue was of particular importance to the Supporters Trust and their nominated Forum representative. Following an extensive meeting with Tony Scholes, Terry Hughes and Malcolm Clarke from the Supporters Trust, it was felt that the Trust the Forum and Stoke City were now satisfied that this item was no longer an issue of concern.

SEASON TICKET UPDATE:

The next meeting with the Club to discuss the prices for next season is scheduled to take place on Monday 28th of February at 2pm

MEETING WITH MAYOR:

The next meeting with Mike Wolfe will take place on Wednesday 2nd of March at 2pm


ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

Martin Smith editor of the Oatcake is still considering our invitation to join the Forum


The next full meeting of the Forum with the Club is scheduled for 7pm, 26th of April at the Britannia Stadium.

The next Fans Forum meeting was scheduled for Thursday the 21st of April
